Creation of Job Opportunities through Business Support for Youth

Implementation period: September 2015 – April 2017

Goal: Support businessmen on both banks of Nistru River, cross-border cooperation and access to opportunities offered by the deepened cooperation between Moldova and EU.

 

Objectives:

  • Create jobs for youth (18-35 old) from the Security Zone, by providing support for business creation and development, and opportunities to establish new relations and learn from best practices.    

 

Results:

  • Programme promotion campaign and preselection of 75 candidates from 9 districts in the Security Zone: Floresti, Soldanesti, Rezina, Orhei, Criuleni, Dubasari, Anenii Noi, Causeni and Stefan-Voda;
  • Business plan guidelines drawn up and published online;
  • Training on the structure, objectives and most important component parts of a business plan organized for 75 selected candidates;    
  • Consultancy offered for developing business plans in accountancy, jurisprudence, marketing etc. and specific recommendations and support for those interested to participate in the grant competition (one hour per candidate);   
  • 15 grant beneficiaries selected;
  • Logistical and administrative support provided to beneficiaries to launch their own business;
  • Individual consultancy provided to young entrepreneurs with the participation of business experts;
  • Goods and services purchased from grant resources and delivered to beneficiaries according to their business plans and the project implementation methodology and procurement rules;
  • Continuous monitoring of business plan implementation and correct use of purchased goods and services;
  • 4 business seminars delivered to 15 grant beneficiaries;
  • Seminar organized in partnership with the company implementing similar activities in Transnistria, delivered to 30 beneficiaries from both banks of Nistru River;
  • Work conference attended by trainers and businessmen from both banks of Nistru River, and 40 beneficiaries of the previous programme, to share their entrepreneurial experience;
  • Online platform developed (http://www.business-bridges.net) to facilitate cooperation between entrepreneurs and organizations from both banks of Nistru River.
